Building Muscles In Your Arms
One of the main focus areas for most people lifting weights is muscular arms. However, most of them struggle with gaining big muscles in their arms fast enough. There are certain things about building muscle in the arms that you have to understand before you get started.
Exercise both Biceps and Triceps
Most people focus on the biceps only and forget their triceps. As such, their arms do not get as big as they would like fast enough. The triceps give the arms they large, muscular shape and should therefore be worked out.
The fact is that triceps are larger and stronger than biceps. If you ignore them and work your biceps only, your arms will look disproportionate and not as attractive or perform as well as you would like.
Don’t focus solely on your arms
To get your arm muscles large does not mean that you only work out your arms and forget the rest. This will only cause you to tire out those muscles and get poor results. Instead work out your whole body. Pay attention to your chest, back and shoulder muscles and you will be surprised how your arms develop.
Use Good Technique
Lifting for great arm muscles is not just about lifting a heavier weight this time than you did the last time or doing more reps today than yesterday. It is about using good technique by making sure that the muscles are under constant tension. Be sure to exercise with consistent control to see massive growth.
Reps and Weight Lifted
Generally, the more weight you lift with fewer reps the better. To grow your biceps arm curls are great. Try 8 reps on one arm and then switch to the other arm and see the results over time.
Monitor your workout
Keep track of the number of times you work out a certain muscle group per week. Overworking one muscle group over another will not bring the results you are looking for so be sure to balance out the workout.
Eat Right
To quickly grow your arms you need to eat the right food combinations. This will include protein, the right fats and plenty of carbohydrates. The best way to eat is 5-6 small meals throughout the day to keep your metabolism going.
Eat right and work the different muscle groups by using the right technique and those arms will have heads turning in no time.
